Volunteers Needed!
The Family and Adult Service Center is looking for volunteers to fill a variety of positions. An immediate need is crew members for the agency's annual fund raising dinner. For on-going needs, contact any member of the RBPC Missions Committee.
The Center has been serving homeless Seattle families and single adults for 40 years. It includes a drop-in center which offers showers and hot meals, use of a phone and laundry service. It also offers many types of assistance to homeless families, which comprise almost 45% of the homeless population in Seattle, most of them single mothers and their children. The Center offers these vulnerable people legal, medical, vocational and housing assistance.
Among the donations needed to keep these service available are; dish soap, laundry soap, bath soap, shampoos and conditioners, deodorant, cleaning supplies, paper goods, playing cards and board games, pre-paid phone cards, gas and gift cards, twin bed sheets, baby supplies and non-perishable food.
